HISTORY

Hopeville officially launched on December 4, 2022 at the Stadium School in Baltimore, MD. But the road to becoming Hopeville was a unique one. This church is the product of two church plants, Epiphany Baltimore and Hope Baltimore, coming together to become one. Epiphany Baltimore was launched in 2016 as a church plant out of Epiphany Fellowship in Philadelphia, PA under the leadership of Dr. Eric Mason. Hope Baltimore was launched in September 2021 as a church plant out of National Community Church in Washington, DC under the leadership of Dr. Mark Batterson. In December 2021, Pastor Charlie Mitchell (Epiphany Baltimore) and Pastor Joshua Symonette discussed an idea to merge the two churches for a greater opportunity to impact Baltimore.
