We believe hope isn’t just a feeling; it’s a lifestyle. At Hopeville, we gather not just to worship, but to encourage, uplift, and walk together in purpose — a community where brokenness meets grace.
Our Story
Two churches.
One Hopeville.
Hopeville officially launched on December 4, 2022, but our story began with two church plants sharing one heart for Baltimore.
Epiphany Baltimore launched in 2016 as a church plant out of Epiphany Fellowship in Philadelphia, while Hope Baltimore launched in September 2021 out of National Community Church in Washington, DC.
Following the COVID-19 pandemic, leaders from both churches began asking what it could look like to move forward together. In December 2021, Pastor Charlie Mitchell and Pastor Joshua Symonette began exploring the possibility of bringing the two churches together for a greater impact in Baltimore.
After a season of discernment with church leaders and overseers, the two communities officially became Hopeville in December 2022.

Joshua Symonette
Pastor Joshua serves as the Lead Pastor of Hopeville, helping lead the church as we grow in the ways of Jesus and seek to serve the city of Baltimore.

What We Believe
We are joining the story of thousands, over thousands of years, who have given their lives for the true and living God — an ancient movement that has shaped even the measurements of time. We live for the truth that Jesus is Lord, and submit to the classic creeds of our faith, such as The Creed of Nicaea.
